This is an absolute cute story. The translation is excellent. In Spanish the story has fluency and rhythm. While reading I make a monotonous and deep voice for the pout fish, and my son loves it every time. It doesn’t matter if he is tired or distracted, the pout fish narrative got him engaged. I haven’t read the story in their original version in English but my son and I find the book very entertaining and I love to read it for him over and over. This books ends with kisses and I give the same amount of kisses to baby. Love it.Compré el libro para mi hijo de diez meses. Le fascina cuando le leo al Pez Pucheros con una voz grave y monotona. Sin importar si mi hijo esta cansado o distraÃdo, en cuanto escucha el diálogo del Pez puchero, inmediatamente sonrÃe y se acerca a mi. No he leÃdo la versión en inglés pero la versión en español tiene muy buena rima, musicalidad y es muy entretenido. El final de la historia es con besos que yo también planto a mi bebé. Amo este libro por la interacción con mi hijo y el mensaje y rima. Lo volverÃa a comprar sin lugar a duda.
We're a bilingual household and have been searching for children's books in Spanish. I've been disappointed in many of them because the translation is so poor. I'm a native Spanish speaker and have worked as a translator, and this book is just translated beautifully. I want my baby to learn Spanish properly and books like this one make it easier!Esta es una linda historia para los pequeños, traducida perfectamente!

My baby LOVES this book. In the end, we have fun playing with kisses and she can't stop laughing. When you have to read your baby's favorite books at least five times per day, it is nice when you actually enjoy it. This is one of those few books that I enjoy reading over and over again. The translation flows really well and it is so charming, now I can't see the original having that same charm.EDIT: I have the boardbook not the kindle and I recommend getting an actual book since my baby loves looking at it.
This book is such a wonderful book, and the translation is very well done. Oftentimes with translated rhyming books, they do a literal translation and the book no longer rhymes in the new language. That's not the case with this book! The sentiments are the same in both English and Spanish and it still rhymes! My daughter loves this book and brings it to me a dozen times a day.
One of our absolute favorites! I have been reading this one to my one-year old for months. Great ending and opportunity to spead the love! We were regularly checking this one out at the library when available. Decided to buy.
